CEEBI Work Experience Program
CEEBI’s work experience program opens to any under-graduates honours and post-graduates, nationally and internationally at any time.
The Frontier Technology Research Centre is located at Curtin Business School. It is a Centre for excellence, sponsored by ARC (Australian Research Council), Curtin Business School and Industry Partners in New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia. The Centre focuses on research and development in Frontier Technology for extended Enterprise and Business Intelligence. include:
- Trust and Reputation for Service Oriented Environment
- Security, Privacy and Risk Management
- Digital Eco-Systems and Technologies
- Ontology-based Software Engineering
- Ontology-based Bio-Informatics
- Data Mining for QoS Assessment
- Distributed Web Services
- E-Logistics Technologies
The above fields have been chosen because:
- They represent the next generation of important ICT applications and
business solutions that are essential for the extended enterprise
- They are potential areas for WA industry and commerce to develop into the international arena as well as provide them with the research and development support that is crucial in gaining a competitive edge in this modern business environment
- Studies in these fields (Applied Research) are distinguished from more general Information Science and Engineering, which are frequently focused on algorithms
- They focus on IT and Business integration.
The Centre offers research training, work experience program and vacation scholarship programs, focuses on research and development, using cutting edge technologies. All activities of above program will be supervised by centre staff and doctoral researchers, and the output of the research training will directly support academic and post graduate R&D activities, one of key roles will be reserch programmers with substantial web and internet computing tasks. For outstanding performers, award payment, scholarships and termed employment may be offered at the end of the term.
Terms and conditions:
Minimum 10 weeks, commencing anytime during the year.
Skill requirements :
Three out of the following skills are required:
D/HTML, Java Script, DreamWeaver, ColdFusion, Flash, XML, XMLDB, Java and Beans, C#, C/C++, OWL, Gena, JADE, .Net, Linux, NT, Win2000, Web Application, Database Applications, Visual and any IDE tools
