Digital Ecosystems and Business Intelligence Institute (DEBII) and the Centre for Extended Enterprise and Business Intelligence (CEEBI) at Curtin University of Technology, Perth, Western Australia invites applications from people wishing to pursue a PhD degree for business intelligence, security intelligence, computational intelligence, health and disease intelligence or transport and logistics intelligence, as well as intelligent education through underlying frontier technologies and deep studies of Data Mining, Text Mining, Digital Watermarking, Steganography, RFID, Data Warehouse, Trust, Reputation and recommendation systems, Risk assessments, Ontology, XML and Multi-agent systems, Digital Ecosystems and Web Services.
Applicants, of any citizenship, who has first class Honors or a Masters degree, can apply. Please submit your CV, academic records (including transcripts), 3 page Research Proposal and 2 referee reports to elizabeth.chang@cbs.curtin.edu.au
Scholarships, Stipends and Awards
Candidates (both national and international) are encouraged to apply for faculty and
university scholarships to support their studies. Information is available at http://www.scholarships.curtin.edu.au/ and are normally valued AUD$18,000 to AUD$25,000 per year.
The Institute also offers up to 8 ARC scholarships (Australia Research Australian residents valued at AUD$25,000 a year for three years.
The Institute also offers various stipends and top-up awards candidates who demonstrate strong research capability within the commencement of the PhD and valued are valued at around AUD$5000. These may be available for PhD students who were not awarded a scholarship Various teaching and research assistances work also available.
